Vasu Gupta is a dynamic force in India’s comics and AVGC landscape, an entrepreneur, storyteller, and IP developer dedicated to shaping the future of Indian visual narratives. As the founder of Alpha Comics, he leads a creative movement focused on building original, culturally rooted story universes that resonate with modern audiences while celebrating the richness of Indian heritage.
Born and raised in New Delhi, Vasu grew up immersed in the world of comics and imagination. Under the mentorship of his father, Sanjay Gupta co-founder of Raj Comics and creator of iconic Indian superheroes, he developed an early understanding of character building, visual storytelling, and the emotional connection between stories and readers.
His professional journey began in 2013 with large-scale comic and pop-culture event management, including the successful organization of Comic Fest 2013. Since then, he has worked extensively with Raj Comics, contributing across pre-production, editorial coordination, sales, marketing, and publishing strategy. From 2020 onward, Vasu has played a key role in the development and release of 100+ comic titles, helping bridge legacy storytelling with contemporary formats and audiences.
In 2023, he launched Alpha Comics with a bold vision: to create homegrown Indian IPs designed not just for print, but for animation, digital storytelling, and cross-media expansion. Under his leadership, Alpha Comics has developed a diverse slate of stories spanning mythology, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, humor, and socially relevant themes. Each project is built with strong visual identity and cinematic narrative potential, aligning with the evolving AVGC landscape.
